ROLINE S/FTP Patch Cable Cat.6a 90m

The ROLINE S/FTP Patch Cord Cat.6a ROLINE 90m is a prepared, double‑shielded twisted pair cable for networking connections between devices. It is constructed from four solid copper pairs with overall braid shielding and individually shielded pairs using aluminium‑clad polyester foil, and comes fitted with screened RJ‑45 connectors on both ends. The cable uses LSOH material and gold‑plated contacts with contact wiring 1:1 according to EIA/TIA 568, making it suitable for PoE and multimedia applications over twisted pair.

Advantages

Double shielding (S/FTP) and individual pair foil shields reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts ensure reliable conductivity. The moulded kink protection on the plugs increases durability and strain relief. The 90 m length provides long runs without additional joins, and the solid copper 4‑pair construction supports stable high‑speed transmission in Cat.6a networks.

Suitable for

• High‑speed Ethernet networks (Cat.6a)
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices
• Multimedia signal transmission over twisted pair
• Home and office structured cabling where long single runs are required

Key specifications

• Length: 90 m
• Cable type: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Conductor: 4‑pair solid copper
• Connectors: Screened RJ‑45 — RJ‑45
• Contact configuration: 1:1 (EIA/TIA 568)
• Contacts: Gold plated
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Unroll the cable and route it along the intended path, avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Terminate by plugging the screened RJ‑45 connectors into corresponding shielded ports on network devices or patch panels. Ensure connector shielding is bonded to system grounding where required for optimal performance. For PoE devices verify power and device compatibility before connecting.

Recommendations

For best signal integrity, keep the cable away from high‑voltage power lines and maintain bend radii greater than the moulded kink protection specification; where long permanent installations are used, ensure proper grounding of the cable shielding and follow local installation standards.
