Satechi ST-TC4KHAM USB Graphics Adapter Grey

The Satechi ST-TC4KHAM USB graphics adapter in grey is a compact aluminium Type-C to HDMI adapter designed to add an external display to laptops and other USB-C devices. With a slim aluminium housing and lightweight construction, it enables high-resolution output to HDMI-capable monitors and TVs. The adapter supports 4K resolution at 60Hz when used with compatible source devices and displays, and provides a simple plug-and-play connection without extra drivers.

Advantages

The aluminium casing offers a durable, heat-dissipating enclosure that matches modern laptop finishes. Its small footprint and low weight make it portable and easy to carry in a laptop bag. The adapter delivers crisp 4K 60Hz output for smooth video and clearer text when the source device and external display both support the required HDMI and USB-C video standards. Plug-and-play operation reduces setup time and eliminates the need for additional software.

Suitable for

• Extending or mirroring laptop or tablet displays to an HDMI monitor or TV
• Presentations and meetings where a quick external display connection is needed
• Watching high-resolution video content on a larger screen
• Multitasking workflows that require a second display for productivity

How to use

Connect the Satechi Type-C end to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop or device that supports video output. Plug a standard HDMI cable from the adapter to the HDMI input on your monitor or TV. Set the external display mode on your device (mirror or extend) through the operating system display settings if needed. Ensure the external monitor is set to the correct HDMI input and supports the desired resolution and refresh rate.

Recommendations

For optimal 4K 60Hz performance, use a high-speed HDMI cable rated for 18 Gbps or higher and verify that your source device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode or equivalent video output. If the display shows limited resolution or refresh rate, check the monitor's HDMI version and the host device specifications. Avoid using passive adapters or hubs that do not explicitly support video output standards required for 4K 60Hz.
