SCHROFF 10225-602 Enclosure with Ventilation and Mounting Options

The SCHROFF 10225-602 enclosure with ventilation and mounting options is a ventilated housing designed to accommodate electronic equipment while promoting effective airflow. It supports multiple mechanical installation styles including rack, chassis and benchtop integration and provides mounting features for modules and printed circuit boards. The enclosure is intended for applications where controlled cooling and flexible component arrangement are required to maintain reliable operation of electronic systems.

Advantages

The enclosure combines ventilation pathways with configurable mounting points to balance thermal management and installation flexibility. Its design reduces hotspots by facilitating convective airflow and simplifies integration of PCBs and module carriers. Construction materials and mounting provisions support organized cable routing and secure fastening of components while maintaining access for maintenance and inspection.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted electronic systems requiring airflow and module support
• Chassis assemblies where PCBs need secure mechanical mounting
• Benchtop test setups and prototype enclosures with ventilation needs
• Industrial control equipment and embedded systems needing organized installation

Key specifications

• Ventilation features for improved convective cooling
• Multiple mounting options for PCBs and modules (rack, chassis, benchtop)
• Accessible openings for cable routing and maintenance
• Mechanical design that supports secure fastening of internal components

How to use

Select the mounting orientation that fits your system architecture (rack, chassis or benchtop). Install modules or PCBs using the provided mounting points and fasteners, ensuring components are aligned with ventilation openings to allow unobstructed airflow. Route cables through the accessible openings and secure them to prevent strain on connectors. Verify mechanical clearances and tighten fasteners to appropriate torque values recommended for the mounted hardware.

Recommendations

Position active heat-generating components near intake or exhaust vents to maximize natural convection. Maintain clear airflow channels and avoid blocking ventilation slots. For higher heat loads, combine the enclosure with appropriate fans or forced-air solutions and monitor temperatures during initial operation to confirm adequate cooling.
