SEH PS105 Print Server

The SEH PS105 is a compact Ethernet print server that connects a parallel-output device to a network using a single RJ45 port. It supports 10BaseT and 100BaseTX networks and automatically adapts to the detected network speed. The PS105 plugs directly into a printer's parallel port without requiring an extra cable and includes a RISC processor, 16 MB internal memory and 4 MB flash for reliable operation. It is compatible with common operating systems including Windows, Apple, Novell and Linux and is certified to CE, FCC and RoHS standards.

Advantages

The Print Server SEH PS105 provides easy installation and browser-based management, supports IPv6 and a wide range of network protocols, and offers security features such as access control, 802.1x RADIUS/EAP authentication and TLS/SSL encryption of print data. It includes features for diagnostics and monitoring (status button, automatic error notification and print job monitoring), supports the ThinPrint .print Client with SSL, and receives regular firmware updates. The device is small and lightweight while offering multilingual support and up to five years guarantee.

Suitable for

• Adding a legacy parallel printer to an Ethernet LAN
• Small offices or workgroups requiring secure network printing

How to use

Plug the PS105 directly into the printer's parallel port and connect the device to the network via an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port. The unit auto-negotiates network speed. Configure the print server through the browser-based management interface or use supported network protocols (DHCP/IPv4/IPv6) to assign network settings. Install necessary printer drivers on client machines and, if required, enable ThinPrint or other supported services for optimized printing.

Recommendations

Place the PS105 in a location with stable network access and ensure firmware is updated regularly. Use the built-in access control and TLS/SSL options to protect printed data and enable 802.1x authentication if your environment supports RADIUS/EAP for stronger network authentication.
