ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 network cable 3m green

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 3m Green is a 3-meter networking cable designed for structured Ethernet connections where improved noise rejection and reliable high-speed transmission are required. The cable uses U/FTP (shielded twisted pairs with an overall foil) construction and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its green jacket provides easy visual identification in crowded cabling environments for home and office networks.

Advantages

The U/FTP (STP) shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives, helping maintain signal integrity over the full 3 m length. Terminated with standard RJ-45 plugs, the cable supports common Ethernet devices without additional adapters. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management for desk-to-switch connections and patching in network cabinets.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, network printers and NAS devices to a router or switch
• Patching between wall outlets and network equipment in home or small office setups
• Environments where reduced interference is preferred, such as near power supplies or other cabling

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 3 m
• Shielding: U/FTP (shielded twisted pairs with overall foil)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Green

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of the device (PC, printer, switch or router) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the locking tab clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension, and secure it with cable ties or clips if needed to prevent strain on the connectors. For installations in shielded systems, verify proper grounding practices according to the network equipment manufacturer’s guidance.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short to medium point-to-point links where improved shielding is beneficial. Avoid running the cable in parallel for long distances with heavy power lines to minimize residual interference. Inspect connectors for debris before installation and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors are damaged.
