ShiverPeaks BS08-62045 Network Cable

The ShiverPeaks BS08-62045 is a 3 m Cat7 networking cable designed for high-speed wired connections. It features S/FTP shielding that combines an overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs to reduce crosstalk and external interference. The cable comes with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to improve conductivity and corrosion resistance. Finished in black, this cable is suitable for use in home and office environments where stable, high-bandwidth connections are required for gaming, streaming and other data-intensive tasks.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding offers enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and near-end crosstalk, supporting reliable signal integrity over the full 3 m length. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide improved contact quality and longer connector life compared with unplated alternatives. As a Cat7 cable, it supports higher frequency transmission and is backward compatible with lower-category Ethernet ports, enabling use with a wide range of network devices. The 3 m length balances flexibility and minimal signal loss for typical desktop and rack setups.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired Ethernet connections in homes and offices
• Online gaming and low-latency multiplayer setups
• 4K/8K video streaming and large file transfers
• Connections between routers, switches, NAS devices and PCs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Class F (Cat7)
• Length: 3 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Color: Black
• Designed for high-frequency transmission and reduced crosstalk

How to use

Connect one end of the Cat7 cable to the RJ-45 port on your router, switch or modem and the other end to the Ethernet port of your PC, gaming console or networked device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click to establish a stable physical connection. For rack or wall-mounted installations, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and tight strain points; leave some slack to prevent stress on the RJ-45 connectors. The cable is plug-and-play and typically requires no additional software configuration beyond standard network settings on your devices.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks Cat7 cable for short to medium runs where high shielding is beneficial—inside rooms, between racks, and workstation setups. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for long distances to minimize potential interference. Periodically inspect connector contacts for dust or corrosion, and replace the cable if the jacket shows visible damage to maintain optimal performance.
