ShiverPeaks BS75111-0.25Y Network Cable

The ShiverPeaks BS75111-0.25Y is a 0.25 m Cat5e networking cable with F/UTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Designed for short patching runs, this yellow cable provides reliable data transmission between networked devices while offering improved protection against external electromagnetic interference thanks to its foil shield over the twisted pairs. The compact length makes it suitable for tidy, space-constrained setups where a short, visible connection is required.

Advantages

The F/UTP shielding reduces susceptibility to crosstalk and external noise, supporting stable signal integrity in crowded cable environments. With Cat5e performance, the cable supports common Ethernet speeds used in home and office networks. The molded RJ-45 connectors ensure a secure fit into network ports and reduce wear from frequent plugging. The yellow jacket increases visibility for easier identification and cable management.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches, routers and patch panels
• Connecting desktop PCs, NAS devices or networked peripherals in close proximity
• Organised server rack and cabinet patching where visible colour coding is helpful

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil shield over twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends, molded strain relief
• Jacket colour: yellow
• Typical use: Ethernet data transmission for 10/100/1000BASE-T networks

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network port until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Use this 0.25 m cable for short-distance links such as patching between adjacent ports on switches or connecting devices within the same rack. Avoid sharp bends near the connector and do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended bend radius to maintain signal quality. If installed in rack systems, route the cable to minimise strain on the connectors and to keep airflow unobstructed.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat5e F/UTP cable in environments where moderate shielding against electromagnetic interference is required; pair colour-coded patch cables with your existing cable management scheme to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
