ShiverPeaks BS75711-H0.5B-SET10 Network Cable

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-H0.5B-SET10 is a 0.5 m Cat6 networking cable designed for short-range connections in home and office networks. It uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity across gigabit Ethernet and other high-speed data links. The cable terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance, and its blue jacket provides an easy-to-identify color for cable management.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines foil and braided shields to provide improved protection against crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded cables. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth than Cat5e over short distances, making it suitable for gigabit Ethernet and many professional applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and reduce signal loss at the connector interface. The short 0.5 m length minimizes latency and clutter when connecting nearby devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices over short distances such as switches, routers, patch panels and desktop PCs
• Home and small office gigabit Ethernet setups
• Structured cabling where shielded cabling is required to limit EMI
• Server racks or patch panels where color-coded cabling improves management

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individual pair foil)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device until it clicks into place. Use the cable to link devices such as a switch to a router, a patch panel to a switch, or to connect a desktop or NAS to a nearby network outlet. Ensure both ends are fully seated in their ports to maintain proper contact. For installations in shielded environments, connect the cable and any associated equipment to a common grounding point as required by local standards.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable and keep it away from high-power electrical sources that can generate interference. Use this short cable for direct, tidy connections where a longer cable would cause clutter; for longer runs select an appropriate Cat6 or higher cable with confirmed shielding.
