ShiverPeaks BS83210 IEC Coaxial Adapter

The ShiverPeaks BS83210 coaxial connector provides a compact, passive solution for splitting or combining IEC coaxial connections. With two IEC female inputs on one side and a single IEC female output on the other, this adapter supports common audio and video cable setups where signal routing between multiple devices is required. Supplied as a single unit, the connector is intended for straightforward use in home entertainment systems, set-top boxes, and other equipment that uses IEC coaxial connections.

Advantages

This coaxial connector offers a simple mechanical design that preserves the physical and electrical continuity of standard IEC coaxial cables. Its compact form factor reduces clutter behind AV equipment and allows easy installation without tools. The connector is compatible with standard IEC coaxial plugs and minimizes signal loss when used in short extension or routing scenarios. The single-piece packaging makes it convenient for replacement or quick deployment.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting two source devices to one display or tuner that uses IEC coaxial ports
• Splitting a single IEC coaxial feed to two devices for monitoring or recording
• Temporary signal routing during equipment changes or testing
• Use in home AV setups, set-top box connections, and legacy coaxial installations

Key specifications

• Connector type: IEC coaxial adapter with dual-to-single configuration
• Number of connectors: two IEC connectors on one side, one IEC connector on the other
• Compatibility: standard IEC coaxial plugs and cables
• Package count: 1 piece
• Application: audio and video signal routing for consumer AV equipment

How to use

Align the IEC coaxial plugs with the corresponding sockets on the adapter and push firmly until seated. Ensure connected cables are in good condition and that the plugs are fully engaged to maintain a stable mechanical and electrical connection. If splitting a signal, be aware that passive adapters can affect signal strength; use short cable runs and ensure source and receiving devices are powered off when connecting or disconnecting to avoid transient noise.

Recommendations

For best results, use this IEC coaxial connector in short-distance, low-loss scenarios and avoid daisy-chaining multiple passive adapters. If signal degradation is observed, consider using active distribution amplifiers or a powered splitter designed for the specific frequency range of your signals.
