ShiverPeaks BS85323-G coaxial adapter

The ShiverPeaks BS85323-G coaxial connector is an adapter combining an IEC connector type with an F-type connector for interfacing different RF cable terminations. Supplied as a single piece, this compact metal connector is intended to provide a secure mechanical and electrical join between devices, antennas or cable runs while minimising signal degradation and maintaining consistent impedance for television, radio and general RF distribution systems.

Advantages

This coaxial connector offers a robust metal construction for stable contact and durability in indoor installations. The combination of IEC-to-F-type interfaces enables flexible compatibility across common consumer and professional equipment. Its compact form factor and precise contacts reduce insertion loss and help preserve signal quality over short interconnections.

Suitable for

• Connecting set-top boxes, televisions and radios with differing connector types
• Adapting antenna feeds to consumer F-type inputs
• Short interconnections in home AV and RF distribution systems
• Field testing and small repair or installation jobs

Key specifications

• Connector types: IEC (female/male interface dependent on mating side) and F-type
• Material: metal body and conductive contacts
• Impedance: suitable for standard RF audio/video and antenna distributions
• Pack quantity: 1 piece

How to use

Align the IEC and F-type interfaces with their respective mating connectors and push or screw the connector into place depending on the mating side. Ensure the connection is seated securely without excessive force and confirm the cable and device are powered down when making or breaking RF connections to avoid interference or damage. After installation, verify signal reception and tighten or reseat as necessary to obtain optimal performance.

Recommendations

For best results use this IEC-to-F-type connector in indoor environments and avoid exposure to prolonged moisture. Where long cable runs or professional broadcast links are required, consider using matched impedance cable assemblies and quality RF connectors rated for the intended frequency range to minimise signal loss.
