Sonos Sub Mini 6 inch Active Subwoofer

The Sonos Sub Mini 6" is a compact active subwoofer designed to deliver deeper, cleaner bass in a small footprint. Finished in black and housed in an acoustically sealed cylindrical cabinet, it integrates a 6" driver with dual inward-facing woofers and a D-class amplifier to produce full-toned low frequencies while minimizing distortion. The Sub Mini connects to Sonos systems over 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, supports app-guided setup, and measures 23 x 23 x 30.5 cm to fit beside furniture or under a desk.

Advantages

The Sub Mini combines dual custom woofers in a force-cancelling arrangement to reduce buzz and rattle while delivering balanced bass that belies its size. Built-in processing and Sonos Trueplay™ tuning adapt bass response to room acoustics so low frequencies remain clear and controlled even when placed near walls. Wireless connectivity and streamlined app setup require only a power cable and a supported iOS device for configuration, and the volume integrates automatically with paired Sonos speakers or soundbars.

Suitable for

• Enhancing home theater when paired with Sonos Beam or Ray
• Improving music playback with Sonos One or One SL
• Smaller rooms or apartments where space is limited
• Discreet placement beside furniture, under tables, or near walls

How to use

Place the Sub Mini where it fits best in the room—beside furniture, under a table, or near a wall—and connect the power cable to an AC outlet. Open the Sonos app on a supported iOS device and follow the on-screen steps to add the subwoofer to your existing Sonos system. When pairing with a Sonos soundbar or speaker, the system will automatically integrate volume control and may prompt you to run Trueplay™ tuning to optimise bass for the room acoustics.

Recommendations

For best results, use the Sonos app to perform Trueplay™ tuning after placement and avoid placing the subwoofer in a completely enclosed cabinet. Positioning near a wall is acceptable because the tuning adapts the bass response, but leave some clearance for airflow and to prevent excessive vibration against furniture. Pair with Beam, Ray, One, or One SL depending on whether your priority is home theater or music playback.
