Staedtler 120 SBK8P1 Graphite Pencil

The Staedtler 120 SBK8P1 graphite pencil is manufactured in Germany with high-quality graphite designed to deliver smooth writing and drawing performance. Its durable lead reduces the frequency of breakage and allows for consistent strokes, while the classic wood casing is easy to sharpen to a fine point for detailed work. The pencil’s balanced weight and ergonomic shape support extended use by students, artists and office professionals who require reliable precision.

Advantages

This graphite pencil provides a steady, even laydown of graphite for writing and sketching, thanks to its well-formulated core. The lead resilience minimizes interruptions from frequent sharpening or lead repair. The wooden barrel sharpens cleanly to a precise tip, and the pencil’s form factor is suitable for prolonged handling without causing undue fatigue. Manufactured under recognized quality standards, it offers consistent performance across multiple units.

How to use

Hold the pencil in a relaxed grip for writing or drawing; adjust the angle to change line width and shading. Use a quality sharpener to form a fine, precise tip for detailed lines or a blunter point for broader strokes and shading. When erasing, use a soft eraser to avoid damaging the paper surface. Store pencils horizontally or in a pencil case to protect the tips from breaking.

Recommendations

For consistent results in detailed sketching or technical work, sharpen gradually to maintain a controlled tip and periodically rotate the pencil during long drawing sessions to preserve even wear. Combine with appropriate erasers and blending tools for refined shading and corrections.
