Staedtler 569 22 transparent plastic ruler

The Staedtler Plastic Transparent Ruler 569 22 is a lightweight measuring tool designed for accurate linear measurements and clear alignment. Made from durable transparent plastic, the ruler combines flexibility with stable markings that remain visible during drafting, drawing and everyday tasks. Its slim profile and transparency help users place the scale directly over work without obscuring lines or details.

Advantages

The transparent plastic construction provides unobstructed visibility of underlying work while maintaining sufficient rigidity to draw straight lines. Markings are printed for clarity and quick reading. The ruler’s compact dimensions and low weight make it easy to carry in a pencil case, folder or sketchbook. Its material resists minor bending and everyday wear, offering practical longevity for school, office or studio use.

Suitable for

• School tasks: geometry, drawing and measurement exercises
• Technical sketching and basic drafting
• Artwork alignment and layout work
• Everyday office measurements and note-taking

Key specifications

• Material: transparent plastic
• Scale type: linear metric markings for precise measurements
• Finish: clear surface with printed graduations
• Form factor: slim, straight-edge design for drawing and measuring

How to use

Place the ruler directly on the document or drawing so the transparent body lies flat over the area to be measured or aligned. Use the printed graduations to read measurements and to guide a pencil or pen when drawing straight lines. Apply light, even pressure to avoid shifting; for precise technical work, secure the sheet with tape or a clipboard to prevent movement. After use, store the ruler in a protective case or compartment to avoid scratches that could obscure markings.

Recommendations

For optimal accuracy, keep the ruler clean and free of debris or adhesive residue; avoid exposure to high heat or sharp bending to preserve the straight edge and printed markings.
