Staedtler 8321 TB10 brush

The Staedtler 8321 TB10 artist paintbrush is manufactured in Germany and is designed for precision painting across a range of water-based and acrylic media. It combines high-quality synthetic bristles with an ergonomic handle to deliver controlled strokes, reliable paint pickup, and consistent release. The brush is suitable for detailed line work, wash techniques and finishing touches where accuracy matters.

Advantages

This paintbrush features synthetic bristles that maintain shape and resist fraying, enabling fine detail and smooth, even application of watercolor and acrylic paints. The ergonomically shaped handle reduces hand fatigue during extended use, and the ferrule is fitted to ensure stable bristle alignment. The brush offers good color retention and predictable flow for layering and blending techniques.

Suitable for

• Precision detail and line work in watercolor painting
• Acrylic painting requiring controlled strokes and layering
• Sketching with wet media and adding fine highlights or edges
• Hobbyist projects, model painting, and mixed-media applications

Key specifications

• Bristle type: high-quality synthetic fibers suitable for water-based and acrylic paints
• Origin: manufactured in Germany
• Handle: ergonomic design for improved comfort and control
• Brush shape: round tip for precision and variable line widths
• Applications: suitable for detailed work, washes, blending and finishing

How to use

Dampen synthetic bristles slightly when working with watercolor to improve paint flow, or load the brush directly with acrylic paint for controlled application. Use the round tip for fine lines and switch to broader strokes by varying pressure. Rinse the brush thoroughly with clean water between colors, gently reshape the tip with your fingers, and store it horizontally or tip-up to preserve the bristle shape.

Recommendations

For longest service life, clean the brush immediately after use, avoid prolonged soaking of the handle or ferrule, and dry the brush with the tip pointing upward or laid flat. For consistent results, use compatible water-based or acrylic paints and avoid solvents that can degrade synthetic bristles.
