HL1 NE sensor cable 46 cm

For industrial automation setups demanding a compact yet robust sensor link, this 46 cm cable from Star Micronics stands out with its M8 3-pin female connector on one end and bare wire pigtail on the other, allowing direct integration into custom terminal blocks or controllers. Unlike bulkier M12 assemblies, the M8 form factor saves space in tight sensor arrays while maintaining a secure, IP67-rated connection at the sensor side.

Highlights

• M8 3-pin female straight connector with gold-plated contacts for reliable signal integrity
• Bare wire termination (pigtail) for flexible wiring into terminal blocks or custom harnesses
• 46 cm length ideal for short sensor-to-controller runs in compact machines
• PVC jacket in black resists oils and mechanical wear common in industrial environments
• Supports up to 30 V DC and 2 A, suitable for most 3-wire sensors

In daily use

Installation is straightforward: plug the M8 connector into a compatible sensor, route the cable through cable chains or conduits, and terminate the three color-coded conductors (22 AWG) as needed. The unshielded design works best in low-noise environments, while the nickel-plated brass body of the connector provides durability against vibration and occasional impact. The cable remains flexible down to -25°C, making it suitable for cold storage or outdoor enclosures with proper protection.
