Stripping Tool for Network Cable DELOCK 90996, Red

DELOCK 90996 is a red stripping tool designed for preparing network cables. It features a dedicated blade and adjustable guide that allow removal of outer jackets and individual conductor insulation on Ethernet and other network cables. The tool is made to support accurate, repeatable stripping for installations, repairs and maintenance, reducing the chance of conductor nicking and ensuring reliable cable termination.

Advantages

The compact hand tool combines a preset cutting depth with an integrated guide to provide consistent results across multiple cable types. Its design enables quick jacket removal without excessive force and minimizes the risk of damage to internal conductors. The red housing offers clear visual identification among other tools, and the robust construction is suitable for regular field use.

Key specifications

How to use

Position the cable in the guide so the jacket aligns with the cutting area, then rotate or slide the tool along the cable as required to score and remove the outer jacket. For individual conductor insulation, place the conductor in the appropriate notch and apply light pressure to strip insulation without cutting the wire. Inspect the exposed conductors for nicks before terminating or crimping connectors.

Recommendations

Use the tool on dry, clean cables and periodically check the blade sharpness; replace or service the tool if you notice increased resistance or visible blade damage. Avoid using excessive force to prevent accidental conductor damage and follow standard safety practices when working with cables near live equipment.
