Hypertec 257251-HY Patch Panel 1U

The Hypertec 257251-HY is a 1U rack-mounted patch panel designed for Cat6 cables, providing a compact and organized connection point for structured cabling in racks and cabinets. Constructed for U/UTP topology, the panel offers reliable signal integrity and helps reduce electromagnetic interference in typical office, data center, and telecom environments. Its 44.4 mm height fits standard 19-inch racks and its black finish integrates discreetly into existing rack layouts.

Advantages

This patch panel supports Cat6 performance parameters and is built with U/UTP shielding to maintain consistent network performance and reduce crosstalk. The 1U form factor saves rack space while allowing centralized cable termination and easy access for moves, adds, and changes. A durable chassis and standardized jack layout simplify installation and ensure long-term mechanical stability under normal use.

Key specifications

How to use

Mount the panel into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts. Terminate Cat6 cables to the rear of the panel following T568A or T568B wiring schemes, ensuring proper pair alignment and cable preparation. Once terminated, secure cables with cable management accessories to reduce strain on terminations. Label ports as required to maintain clear documentation of connections and to facilitate troubleshooting and changes.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use Cat6-rated patch cords and maintain consistent wiring standards across the installation. Keep cable bundling and power cabling separated to minimize interference, and adhere to recommended bend radii when routing cables to and from the patch panel.
