Televes 553304 TV Signal Amplifier

The Televes 553304 TV signal amplifier is a domestic inline amplifier designed to extend and improve terrestrial television distribution. It operates across a wide forward-band frequency range of 88–1006 MHz and provides a passive return channel, making it compatible with DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem communication. The unit uses F-type connectors and is mains-powered (220–230 V) with a typical consumption of 2.4 W and compact dimensions (53 × 35 × 146 mm) for easy installation.

Advantages

The amplifier equalizes and boosts terrestrial TV signals to reduce loss across the distribution network while preserving a passive return path for subscriber modem-to-operator communication. Its expanded forward bandwidth (88–1006 MHz) ensures compatibility with DOCSIS 3.0 services. Compact size and standard F connectors simplify installation in domestic setups, and low power consumption allows continuous operation with minimal energy use.

Suitable for

• Extending or restoring terrestrial TV signal distribution in homes or small buildings
• Integrating with cable systems that require DOCSIS 3.0 compatibility
• Situations where a passive return channel is needed for modem-to-operator communication

How to use

Install the Televes 553304 inline amplifier in the terrestrial TV feed line between the incoming antenna/cable and the distribution network output. Connect coaxial cables to the F-type connectors, ensure the unit is powered from a 220–230 V AC outlet, and verify signal levels at the outputs. Adjust network topology as needed to achieve balanced distribution and avoid over-amplification. Follow standard safety and grounding practices during installation.

Recommendations

Use the amplifier to compensate for distribution losses and maintain signal quality across multiple outlets. Avoid placing the amplifier near strong interference sources and ensure proper grounding. For networks with active return requirements, confirm compatibility with operator equipment despite the amplifier's passive return channel.
