Wire Connector Preisner FST61 Silver

The Preisner FST61 Silver wire connector by Televes is a single-piece metallic connector designed for creating secure electrical joints. Manufactured from durable metal with a silver finish and an inner diameter of 6 mm, this connector offers consistent contact area and mechanical strength for small to medium-diameter wiring. Supplied as one connector per pack, it is suitable for installers, technicians, and DIY users who require a compact conductive coupling for signal or power lines.

Advantages

The metal construction ensures stable electrical conductivity and resistance to deformation under mechanical stress. The silver finish improves corrosion resistance and maintains low contact resistance over time. Its 6 mm inner diameter accommodates a range of conductor sizes while providing a firm fit and reliable electrical path. The single-piece design simplifies installation and reduces points of failure compared with multi-part connectors.

How to use

Prepare the conductors by stripping insulation to the length recommended for the connector seating. Insert the bare conductor ends into the connector until a secure mechanical stop or full contact is achieved. If required by the application, use appropriate crimping or compressing tools to secure the connection according to installer best practices. Verify electrical continuity and mechanical stability after installation before restoring power to the circuit.

Recommendations

Use the connector in environments suited to metal components; avoid prolonged exposure to aggressive chemicals or highly saline atmospheres without additional protection. Select conductor sizes that fit the 6 mm inner diameter for optimal contact. Where safety standards require, combine the connector with appropriate insulation or protective housings and follow local electrical codes and best practices.
