• Construction: Durable materials for studio use

How to use

Place the WA-47jr on a stable mic stand using an appropriate shock mount or clip to minimize handling noise. Position the microphone at an appropriate distance and angle from the sound source to balance proximity effect and room sound; for typical vocals start around 15–30 cm and adjust to taste. Connect the microphone to a preamplifier or audio interface that provides 48V phantom power, and set input gain to capture clear signal peaks without clipping. Monitor through headphones or studio monitors and make fine adjustments to mic placement for desired tonal balance.

Recommendations

Use a quality preamp and proper microphone technique to maximize the WA-47jr's warm tonal characteristics. Employ a pop filter for close vocal work and consider room treatment or close-miking to reduce unwanted reflections in untreated spaces.
