Wiha 42131 Screwdriver Bit Set

The Wiha 42131 screwdriver bit set contains five Torx T25 bits with a length of 49 mm and a total weight of 75 g. Each bit has a 1/4" shank (25.4 / 4 mm) compatible with standard bit holders, screwdrivers and quick-change chucks. The set follows Wiha's universal TY bit concept: the bit profile is designed to engage both T-shaped and Y-shaped screws, making these bits suitable for a wide range of fastening tasks. A patented torsion zone increases durability and allows safe use with power tools and impact drivers, while the fluorescent coloured finish makes bits easy to locate, including under UV light.

Advantages

Universal TY geometry fits both T- and Y-shaped screw heads, simplifying bit selection. Patented torsion zone reduces breakage and enables use with impact screwdrivers and power tools, offering a substantially longer service life versus standard bits. Fluorescent coating improves visibility and reduces loss of bits. Standard 1/4" shank ensures compatibility with common tool holders and accessories.

How to use

Insert a bit into a compatible 1/4" bit holder, manual screwdriver or the chuck of a power/impact driver. Engage the Torx T25 profile fully with the screw head to ensure correct seating before applying torque. For power or impact tools, use controlled torque settings and allow the torsion zone to absorb shock rather than forcing excessive force. After use, store bits in a secure holder or case to maintain the fluorescent finish and reduce loss.

Recommendations

For repeated work with power or impact tools, choose appropriate torque settings and regular inspection of bit tips for wear. Replace bits when tip deformation is visible to avoid damage to fasteners. Use the fluorescent coating and UV light for quick identification in low-light environments.
