Wired Camera Remote Control Panasonic AW-RP150GJ

The Panasonic AW-RP150GJ is a wired camera remote control designed for professional PTZ camera operation. It combines a one-hand joystick for pan/tilt/zoom (or focus) with a large touch-panel LCD for live monitoring and menu control. The unit supports wired connections up to 1000 meters and is compact in size (342 × 245 × 178 mm), making it suitable for broadcast, live events, and studio installations where reliable, centralized camera control is required.

Advantages

The touch-panel GUI displays camera images during shooting and consolidates menu, camera switching and indicators for intuitive operation. Touch Focus lets you align focus quickly by tapping the screen and a Focus-in-Red aid highlights the in-focus area. Scene and system settings can be stored on an SD card and copied to multiple cameras to speed up multi-camera setup. IP control via a switch supports up to 200 cameras, and serial connections support up to 5 cameras. Preset memory and tracing memory allow recall of angles and recorded camera movements for repeatable shots.

How to use

Connect the AW-RP150GJ to the camera system using the supported wired interface or via IP through a network switch. Use the one-hand joystick to control pan, tilt and zoom, or switch joystick control to focus when needed. Monitor the live camera feed and access menus on the touch-panel LCD; tap the image to perform Touch Focus and use the GUI to register presets or recall saved scene files from the SD card. For multi-camera setups, copy settings to cameras via the SD card or configure IP addresses to enable centralized control.

Recommendations

For faster multi-camera deployment at events, save scene and system settings to the SD card beforehand and use IP connection through a managed switch when controlling large numbers of cameras. When precise focus is required, use the Touch Focus feature together with the Focus-in-Red display.
