A-LAN DN-96422/3 Patch Panel 24x SC Duplex OM3 Grey

The A-LAN DN-96422/3 24x SC duplex OM3 gray patch panel is a rack-mountable fiber termination unit designed for structured multimode networks. The panel provides 24 SC duplex ports compatible with OM3 multimode fiber, enabling organized connection and management of fiber links in data centers, server rooms and network cabinets. Its steel housing in gray offers durable protection and a compact footprint for mounting in standard 19-inch racks.

Advantages

The panel centralizes fiber terminations to simplify patching, labeling and future changes without altering permanent cabling. SC duplex connectors deliver reliable push-pull mating with stable insertion loss suitable for multimode OM3 transmission. The metal construction ensures mechanical protection and consistent alignment of adapters, while the layout supports straightforward cable routing and reduced connector stress.

Suitable for

• Data center multimode backbone and aggregation links
• Server room and network cabinet fiber management
• Structured cabling installations requiring 24 SC duplex terminations
• Environments using OM3 multimode fiber for 10G and short-reach applications

Key specifications

• Connector type: 24 SC duplex ports
• Fiber type supported: OM3 multimode
• Mounting: 19-inch rack compatible
• Material: steel/metal housing
• Color: gray
• Form factor: rack-mounted patch panel with adapter openings

How to use

Install the panel into a standard 19-inch rack or cabinet using appropriate screws and rails. Terminate incoming OM3 multimode fiber to the rear of the panel and secure cables with strain relief to prevent movement. Plug SC duplex patch cords into the front adapters to connect active equipment or cross-connect to other distribution points. Maintain clear labeling for each port to facilitate maintenance and future changes.

Recommendations

Use OM3-rated SC duplex patch cords and maintain bend radius guidelines for multimode fiber to preserve signal integrity. Regularly inspect connectors and clean endfaces with approved fiber cleaning tools before mating. Reserve spare ports for future expansion and organize patch cords with cable management accessories to reduce connector strain and simplify operations.
