ACT 1.8 m High-Performance VGA Extension Cable Plug-Socket Black

The ACT 1.8 metre High Performance VGA extension cable male-female provides a straightforward solution for extending VGA connections between monitors, projectors and computers. This 1.8 m cable has male and female VGA (D-Sub) connectors and a black jacket. Designed to preserve analogue video signals, it supports typical VGA resolutions and enables convenient repositioning of display equipment without needing to relocate source devices.

Advantages

This VGA extension cable has ferrite cores to reduce high-frequency interference and noise, and all pins are connected to ensure full signal continuity across the connector. The male-female configuration allows easy daisy-chaining or simple extension of an existing VGA lead. Its 1.8 metre length balances reach and cable management for installations where moderate extension is required.

Suitable for

• Extending a monitor cable to reach a desktop PC or laptop
• Connecting a projector in conference rooms or classrooms
• Temporary AV setups for presentations and training sessions
• Combining with existing VGA leads to increase cable length without signal adapters

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Connectors: VGA (D-Sub) male to VGA (D-Sub) female
• Colour: Black
• Shielding: Ferrite cores for EMI/RFI suppression
• Wiring: All pins connected for complete analogue signal paths

How to use

Connect the male VGA connector to the display device or the end of an existing VGA lead, and plug the female connector into the VGA cable from the source device or the corresponding male connector. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the physical connection to prevent connector wear and then power on devices to confirm image transmission. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this extension for standard VGA resolutions and avoid chaining multiple extension cables which may degrade analogue signal quality. Keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as large power transformers and unshielded power cables. If longer runs or higher resolutions are required, consider using an active signal booster or digital alternatives such as HDMI or DisplayPort where supported.
