ACT AB9066 VGA Adapter Angled Plug to Socket

The ACT AB9066 Angled VGA Adapter provides a compact solution for connecting VGA equipment where space is limited. It features a male VGA (D-Sub) connector on one end and a female VGA (D-Sub) connector on the other, arranged in an angled configuration to minimize cable bend and connector stress. The adapter is finished in black and is intended for use with standard analog VGA signals between monitors, projectors, graphics cards and other VGA-enabled devices.

Advantages

The angled design reduces mechanical strain on cables and ports, helping to prolong connector life and maintain a reliable signal path. Its compact form factor enables connections in tight or recessed locations where straight adapters or cables may not fit. As a simple passive adapter with standard VGA connectors it requires no power or drivers and can be used immediately with compatible devices. The black finish provides a neutral, professional appearance suitable for home or office environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a VGA cable to a monitor or projector in a confined space
• Reducing stress on VGA cable ends near wall plates or recessed connectors
• Adapting cable orientation behind desks, AV racks, or multimedia furniture

Key specifications

• Connector types: VGA (D-Sub) male to VGA (D-Sub) female
• Orientation: angled design to change cable exit direction
• Signal type: analog VGA video
• Colour: black

How to use

Align the male VGA pins with the female VGA port on the device or cable and insert carefully to avoid bending pins. Secure the connection by tightening any retaining screws if present on the mating connector. Connect the other end to the corresponding VGA port on the second device. Ensure all connections are firm and that the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends at the adapter to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in situations where a change in cable exit angle prevents strain on connectors. Avoid repeated forceful insertion or removal to prevent damage to VGA pins. For best signal performance, keep cable runs as short as practical and ensure connectors are clean and free of debris before connecting.
