Aqara DS-K02D Smart Roller Shutter Switch – Central Control Unit for Roller Shutters (Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth)

Aqara DS-K02D is a wall-mounted central control unit designed to operate motorized roller blinds and shutters. Supporting Thread, Zigbee and Bluetooth connectivity, this shutter switch serves as the main control device for automated shading systems, enabling local, remote and voice control as well as integration into scenes and schedules within common smart home platforms.

Advantages

The Aqara Shutter Switch H2 EU provides precise position control of blinds from 1% to 100%, programmable wireless buttons for scene activation, and compatibility with standard 55 mm modular frames for straightforward installation. Dual-protocol support (Thread and Zigbee) offers flexible integration paths: Thread enables direct Matter ecosystems connectivity without an extra gateway, while Zigbee preserves compatibility with existing gateways and advanced Aqara features. A low-profile LED indicator only illuminates during operation to avoid disturbance.

Suitable for

• Homes with motorized roller blinds or shutters that use two-way motors.
• Smart home systems requiring integration with Apple Home, Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
• Rooms where precise light control and scheduled shading are needed (bedrooms, living rooms, offices).
• Installations using 55 mm modular switch frames from common manufacturers.

Key specifications

• Connectivity: Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth (wireless protocols for local and networked control).
• Blind positioning accuracy: adjustable from 1% to 100%.
• Button configuration: left-side physical control for up/stop/down; two programmable wireless buttons on the right side for scene control.
• Calibration modes: Smart Calibration, Custom Calibration, Route Calibration for setup and long-term accuracy.
• Form factor: fits 55 mm × 55 mm modular switch frames.
• User interface: discreet LED indicator active only during operations.

How to use

Install the Aqara Shutter Switch H2 EU into a compatible 55 mm modular frame and connect it to your motorized blind system following the motor manufacturer's wiring instructions. Select the preferred wireless mode (Thread or Zigbee) in the Aqara app and complete the calibration routine—choose Smart Calibration for quick setup, Custom Calibration for fine adjustments, or Route Calibration for maintaining accuracy. After pairing with your smart home platform, use the physical buttons, app controls, voice assistant or schedules to move blinds to the desired position with 1% granularity.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, verify that the blind motor supports two-way control and that wiring matches the motor's specification before installation. Use the calibration modes after mounting to ensure accurate end positions, and assign common scenes to the programmable wireless buttons for quick daily routines. When integrating into a Matter ecosystem, prefer Thread mode for direct native connectivity; use Zigbee mode if you need compatibility with an existing gateway or specific Aqara features.
