C2G 2m Cat6 Shielded UTP Network Patch Cable with Strain Relief Grey

The C2G 2m Cat6 Booted Unshielded UTP Network Patch Cable in grey provides reliable high-speed connectivity for home and office networks. With a 2 meter length and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this Cat6 cable supports higher bandwidth needs for transferring video, audio and data compared with Cat5E cables and includes a moulded snagless boot for strain relief and to prevent connector snags during installation.

Advantages

This Cat6 unshielded (UTP) patch cable supports up to 550 MHz bandwidth for improved data throughput, making it suitable for demanding network tasks. The booted, snagless design minimises the risk of connector damage during installation and provides strain relief. The cable’s grey colour helps with unobtrusive installation or colour-coding in multi-cable setups. RJ-45 to RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with standard network ports.

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network ports on your devices or infrastructure (for example, PC, switch, router or wall jack). Ensure connectors click into place for a secure connection and route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension. Use the 2 m length to position devices within typical desktop or rack distances; for longer runs choose a longer cable model.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines and maintain gentle bend radii. Replace Cat5E cabling with Cat6 where higher bandwidth and reduced crosstalk are required. Inspect connectors for secure seating after installation.
