Cable Adapter ShiverPeaks BS15-301214

The ShiverPeaks BS15-301214 cable gender changer provides a compact adapter solution with an IEC-socket on one side and an F-plug on the other. Its gold-coloured finish is designed for corrosion resistance and improved electrical contact. The adapter enables connection between devices that use different cable terminations, simplifying setup in audio, video and RF signal installations where an IEC-to-F interface is required.

Advantages

The adapter offers a simple, space-saving conversion between IEC and F connectors without the need to replace existing cabling. The gold-coloured plating contributes to reliable conductivity and reduced contact wear. Its compact form factor makes it convenient for tight equipment racks or behind AV components where cable routing is limited.

Suitable for

• Connecting equipment with IEC sockets to cables or antennas using F-plug connectors
• Temporary or permanent AV and RF installations where connector types differ
• Home entertainment systems, set-top boxes and tuners requiring adapter interfaces
• Repair or upgrade scenarios to maintain use of existing cables

Key specifications

• Connector types: IEC socket to F plug
• Finish: gold-coloured plating for improved contact and corrosion resistance
• Form factor: compact inline gender changer
• Application: audio, video and RF signal connections

How to use

Align the F-plug with the corresponding F-type cable or antenna socket and insert until secure. Plug the device-side cable into the IEC socket ensuring a snug connection. Verify continuity and signal integrity after installation by testing the audio, video or RF source. For best results handle connectors by their bodies to avoid stressing cable terminations.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, indoor environments and avoid exposing it to excessive mechanical strain or moisture. Regularly inspect contacts for dirt or oxidation and clean gently if necessary to maintain optimal conductivity. For critical installations, verify impedance compatibility and signal levels when introducing any adapter into the signal path.
