Captiva 80287 network cable patch cable CAT 8 RJ45 5m grey

The Captiva 80287 Patch Cable CAT 8 RJ45 5m Gray is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed network connections. With a five-meter length and standard RJ45 terminations, it connects routers, switches, network interface cards and other LAN equipment where Category 8 performance is required. The gray jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for home and office installations while the cable construction is intended to support modern high-bandwidth applications.

Advantages

This CAT 8 patch cable offers enhanced bandwidth and data transmission capability compared to lower category cables, enabling support for demanding network tasks. Its RJ45 connectors provide a secure mechanical connection for typical Ethernet ports, and the five-metre length gives flexibility in equipment placement without excessive slack. The gray outer sheath is resistant to everyday handling and blends into most environments.

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the Ethernet port of your source device (router, switch or network adapter) and the other RJ45 plug to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a reliable connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of interference; maintain gentle curves and avoid pinching. For best performance, keep the cable away from large power cables and noisy electrical equipment.

Recommendations

Use the CAT 8 patch cable for connections that benefit from higher bandwidth and reduced signal interference. Verify that connected networking equipment supports the desired speeds and configurations. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage to maintain stable network performance.
