Cimco 117788 Single Slotted Screwdriver

The Cimco 117788 single straight screwdriver is a 195 mm hand tool designed for general fastening and adjustment tasks. It combines a hardened steel shank with an ergonomic handle to deliver reliable torque transfer and a comfortable grip. The straight blade profile and medium length make it suitable for accessing fasteners in moderately recessed areas while remaining easy to control during precision work.

Advantages

The hardened steel shaft provides resistance to wear and bending, helping the screwdriver maintain its tip geometry over time. An ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue during repeated use and improves grip stability. The 195 mm overall length balances reach and control, making the tool versatile for workshop, maintenance and household tasks.

Suitable for

• Assembling and disassembling furniture and fittings
• Electrical and electronics maintenance where a straight blade is required
• General workshop and household fastening jobs
• Precision adjustments on mechanical assemblies

Key specifications

• Overall length: 195 mm
• Blade type: straight (flat) blade profile
• Material: hardened steel shank with molded ergonomic handle
• Handle design: anti-slip ergonomic grip
• Typical applications: fastening, loosening, and adjustment of slotted screws

How to use

Select the straight screwdriver when working with slotted screws that match the blade width. Position the blade in the screw slot, apply steady axial pressure and turn the handle clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen. Maintain firm but controlled force to avoid cam-out and to preserve the tip shape. For tasks requiring additional reach or leverage, pair the tool with appropriate extensions or use a screwdriver with a longer shaft.

Recommendations

Store the screwdriver in a dry location to prevent corrosion of the steel shank. Regularly inspect the tip for wear and replace the tool if the blade becomes rounded or damaged. Use the screwdriver only for its intended purpose—do not use as a pry bar or chisel—to ensure safety and prolong tool life.
