Cimco 140046 Cable Pulling and Drawing Device

The Cable puller-feeder Cimco 140046 is a compact tool intended for guiding and pulling cables through conduit, ducts and narrow spaces. Its 20 m length and 4 mm rod diameter allow reaching moderate distances while maintaining flexibility for threading cable runs. The unit has a breaking strain of 0.5 kN and a durable black finish designed for regular on-site use in electrical installation and maintenance tasks.

Advantages

The tool combines a slim 4 mm rod with a long 20 m reach, enabling access through bends and confined conduits while limiting bulk. The 0.5 kN breaking strain provides a clear working load guideline for safe pulling operations. A robust black construction resists wear from repeated insertion and retrieval and supports dependable performance during routine cable installation work.

Suitable for

• Routing electrical cables through conduit and ductwork
• Installing low- to medium-weight data and control cables
• Maintenance and retrofit wiring in buildings and industrial enclosures
• Accessing runs in suspended ceilings and narrow service spaces

Key specifications

• Length: 20 m
• Rod diameter: 4 mm
• Breaking strain: 0.5 kN
• Color/finish: black
• Type: cable puller / feeder rod

How to use

Feed the rod through the conduit or duct until the tip appears at the exit point, then attach the cable securely to the rod end using an appropriate coupling or tape rated for pulling. Pull the rod back steadily, avoiding sudden jerks, while guiding the cable through the run. Observe the specified breaking strain and stop pulling if excessive resistance is felt; inspect the route for obstructions before repeating. Coil and store the rod on its reel or in its housing after use to preserve the rod’s shape and integrity.

Recommendations

Use the puller-feeder for cables that do not exceed the recommended pull force and avoid applying forces near the breaking strain. For tight bends or longer runs, consider using lubricant compatible with cable sheath materials and verify that attachment methods do not damage the cable. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during pulling operations and inspect the rod and fittings before each use.
