DeLOCK 65522 Cable Adapter

The DeLOCK 65522 Cable Gender Changer is a compact USB 2.0 A adapter that lets you connect two USB-A cables directly. It has gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion, and a black housing designed to integrate discreetly into desktop or mobile setups. The adapter supports easy insertion in tight or awkwardly positioned USB-A female ports by allowing the male plug to be used bi-directionally and providing an angled female output to the left or right when needed.

Advantages

This USB-A gender changer enables simple extension or reconfiguration of USB-A connections without requiring a cable replacement. Gold-plated contacts enhance signal transmission and durability. The reversible EASY-USB male reduces fumbling when plugging into hard-to-reach ports, while the angled female output offers adaptable positioning for constrained spaces.

Suitable for

• Extending or joining two USB-A cables
• Connecting devices where a short adapter is needed instead of a new longer cable
• Use in tight workspaces or behind equipment with limited access to USB-A ports
• Temporary or permanent reconfiguration of USB-A cable routing

Key specifications

• Model: DeLOCK 65522
• Connectors: USB 2.0 A to USB 2.0 A
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black
• Category: Cable interface and gender adapters

How to use

Insert one USB-A cable into the adapter's female socket and connect a second USB-A cable to the adapter's male EASY-USB plug; the male plug can be inserted in either orientation to simplify connection. If the existing female port is difficult to access, align the adapter so the angled female output faces left or right as required, then connect the cable. Ensure both cable ends are fully seated to maintain a stable USB 2.0 connection.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for short extensions or to change cable orientation; avoid relying on multiple chained adapters for critical high-speed or power-hungry devices. For optimal signal integrity, prefer high-quality USB 2.0 cables and keep overall cable length within USB 2.0 specifications.
