DeLOCK 86424 Cable Adapter

The DeLOCK 86424 cable gender changer is a compact adapter that converts the orientation of an RJ-45 connection by 90°, allowing a network cable to be connected where straight access is restricted. It features two RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and a black housing for unobtrusive integration into network setups.

Advantages

The adapter provides a right-angle RJ45 connection to simplify cable routing in tight spaces and behind equipment. Gold-plated contacts improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. Its small black design is easy to fit into existing installations without drawing attention.

Suitable for

• Routing Ethernet cables in confined or hard-to-reach locations
• Connecting network devices where space behind equipment is limited
• Adapting RJ-45 plug orientation in home or office networks

Key specifications

• Connector 1: RJ-45
• Connector 2: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black
• Manufacturer: DELOCK, MPN 86424

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plug of the network cable into one side of the gender changer and plug the opposite side into the device's RJ-45 jack. Ensure both plugs are fully seated to maintain a reliable connection. The adapter reorients the connection by 90°, so position cables accordingly to avoid strain.

Recommendations

Use the adapter only with compatible RJ-45 Ethernet cables and devices. Avoid placing excessive bending stress on the cable or adapter and ensure clearance for the angled connector to prevent damage.
