Dexlan 858748 Network Cable White 10 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dexlan 858748 networking cable White 10 m Cat6a S/FTP is a 10-metre Ethernet patch cable designed to support high-speed wired networks. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction and terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this white cable is intended for use where reliable 10 Gigabit-capable connections, reduced electromagnetic interference and a tidy appearance are required.

Advantages

The cable's Cat6a specification enables stable performance at higher frequencies and supports 10 Gbps data rates over typical office and home distances. S/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external interference by combining overall braid protection with foil-wrapped individual pairs, improving signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with standard networking equipment, while the 10 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or between cabinets and desks. The white jacket provides a neutral look that blends into most interiors.

Key specifications

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to a network port on a switch, router or network interface on a computer and the other end to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until a click confirms engagement. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and heavy compression; maintain bend radii recommended for Cat6a cables and keep the cable away from high-voltage power cables where possible to minimize interference. For permanent installations, verify that patch panels and outlets support Cat6a performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable in shielded or organized cabling runs when connecting 10 Gbps equipment, and avoid running the cable in parallel with mains power lines. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if the jacket or shield is compromised. When planning cable routes, allow some slack for future reconfiguration and secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties that do not crush the jacket.
