Digitus DN-93612-1 Keystone module CAT 6 shielded

The DIGITUS® DN-93612-1 is a shielded CAT 6 keystone module designed for tool-free wire termination and reliable RJ-45 network connections. Its compact flat connector measures 14 mm (W) x 34 mm (D) x 20 mm (H) and is suitable for installation in standard 19" (483 mm) 1U panels, allowing up to 24 modules in a row. The module is manufactured to meet Category 6A / 10GBase-T Channel standards and complies with ANSI/EIA/TIA 568C.2.1:2002 and ISO/IEC 11801:2002.

Advantages

The shielded design reduces electromagnetic interference for improved link quality, while tool-free installation enables quick and safe wire terminations without additional equipment. The compact dimensions and standard keystone form factor simplify mounting in patch panels and wall plates. The silver finish and lightweight construction (approx. 0.022 kg) make the module practical for varied installation environments.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in small offices and data closets
• Patch panels and 19" 1U rack installations
• High-speed Ethernet up to Category 6A / 10GBase-T channel environments

How to use

Insert the keystone module into a compatible keystone opening on a patch panel or wall plate until it snaps into place. Strip and prepare the cable according to standard wiring practice, then terminate conductors into the module using the built-in, tool-free termination mechanism following the chosen wiring scheme (T568A or T568B). Ensure the shield is properly connected to the grounding system where required to maintain performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the module as part of a Category 6A-compliant channel and ensure proper grounding of the shield. Verify wiring continuity and performance with appropriate network testers after installation.
