EFB Elektronik 53202.31 Cable Grommet

The EFB Elektronik 53202.31 cable boot is designed for ST and SC fiber optic connectors, providing a compact protective sleeve that helps preserve connector integrity. With a width and height of 6.3 mm and a black finish, this cable boot offers a discreet, professional appearance while shielding the termination point from dust, abrasion and mechanical stress. The flexible material and precise dimensions ensure a snug fit on compatible connector ferrules and cable jackets.

Advantages

This cable boot combines a compact profile with resilient construction to reduce strain at the connector interface and to protect against contamination. Its 6.3 mm width and height are optimized for ST and SC connector types, enabling consistent fit and reliable cable routing in tight installations. The black color provides visual uniformity in patch panels and fiber runs while resisting visible soiling.

Suitable for

• Protection of ST and SC fiber optic connector terminations
• Use in patch panels, wall outlets and fiber distribution frames
• Environments where space is limited and compact connector protection is required
• Applications that require dust and abrasion protection for fiber connectors

Key specifications

• Connector compatibility: ST, SC
• Profile dimensions: 6.3 mm width × 6.3 mm height
• Color: black
• Material: flexible protective polymer (typical for cable boots)
• Function: mechanical protection and dust shielding for connector terminations

How to use

Slide the cable boot over the fiber cable jacket before terminating the connector, then position it so the boot covers the transition between the connector body and the cable jacket. Ensure the boot sits flush around the connector ferrule area without obstructing the connector’s mating face. After connector assembly, verify the boot provides a snug fit and does not interfere with connector engagement in adapters or receptacles.

Recommendations

Choose this cable boot when you need a low-profile protective sleeve for ST and SC connectors in confined spaces. Store boots in a clean, dry place prior to installation and inspect for damage before use. For optimal performance, confirm compatibility with your specific connector model and cable diameter.
