EFB Elektronik 52527.3 Cable Grommet

The EFB Elektronik 52527.3 cable boot is a protective accessory designed specifically for use with BNC connectors. Molded in blue, the boot measures approximately 45 mm in length and 11.5 mm in height, providing a fitted cover that helps protect the connector-cable junction from mechanical wear, dust and minor strain. It is intended to improve the longevity and reliability of coaxial cable connections in professional and consumer installations.

Advantages

This cable boot offers a precise fit for BNC connector assemblies, helping to reduce cable bending near the connector and to shield the joint from abrasion. The molded construction provides consistent dimensions and a uniform surface for easier handling during installation. The blue color aids in visual identification and cable management in rack or field environments.

Suitable for

• Repairing or reinforcing BNC connector terminations on coaxial cables
• Use in CCTV, broadcast and video signal installations
• Field service work where connector protection and cable strain relief are required
• Structured cabling systems where color-coded boots assist organization

Key specifications

• Compatible connector type: BNC
• Color: blue
• Length: 45 mm
• Height: 11.5 mm
• Material: molded protective boot (polymeric elastomer)
• Function: mechanical protection and strain relief for cable-connector junctions

How to use

Slide the cable boot onto the coaxial cable before assembling the BNC connector, position it so that the boot will cover the connector-cable junction when the connector is fitted, then complete the connector assembly according to the connector manufacturer’s instructions. After the connector is attached, move the boot into place to provide a snug covering over the joint. For repair applications, fit the boot over the existing connector if the boot dimensions and cable routing allow.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, use the boot with BNC connectors and cables that match the boot’s dimensions. Avoid excessive stretching during installation and inspect boots periodically for signs of wear in high-movement or outdoor installations.
