Equip Cat.6 135620 Shielded Outlet Box

The equip® Shielded Junction Box Cat.6 135620 is a compact ABS enclosure designed to join two cables directly without additional connectors or couplers. Its shielded construction and LSA terminals allow durable, low-profile splicing for permanent cabling runs or repairs, enabling extension or reconnection of damaged cables while maintaining cable shielding continuity.

Advantages

The junction box provides a sustainable and space-saving solution for creating permanent cable connections. Its ABS housing is lightweight yet robust, and the integrated LSA terminals simplify cable termination and reconnection. Shielding compatibility helps preserve signal integrity in shielded Cat6 installations.

Suitable for

• Indoor network cable splices in shielded Cat6 installations
• Permanent in-wall or trunking connections where connectors are not desired
• Field repairs and extensions of damaged network cables

How to use

Open the ABS enclosure, insert the two cable ends so the shields and conductors are exposed as required, and secure each conductor into the LSA terminals following common wiring color codes for Cat6. Re-establish the shield continuity by connecting the cable shields to the box grounding point if present. Close the enclosure to protect the splice from mechanical stress and dust.

Recommendations

Use this junction box for indoor, dry installations and ensure proper grounding of shielded cables to maintain EMC performance. Avoid exposing the box to outdoor weather or excessive moisture; for permanent in-wall installations follow local electrical and building codes.
