FISCHER cable lock E-bikes 85849

The FISCHER E-Bikes 85849 cable lock is a compact and flexible security accessory designed for everyday protection of bicycles and e-bikes. With a length of 1800 mm and weighing 300 g, the black cable delivers a balance between portability and coverage, allowing the lock to secure frames and wheels to fixed objects. The lock uses a key mechanism and includes two keys for routine locking and unlocking.

Advantages

The cable lock combines flexibility and light weight to make transport and storage simple while providing a visible deterrent against opportunistic theft. The key lock mechanism offers straightforward operation and the inclusion of two keys reduces the risk of being locked out if one key is misplaced. The cable's black finish resists dirt and integrates unobtrusively with most bicycle designs.

Suitable for

• Securing e-bikes and bicycles in low- to medium-risk public places
• Quick stops such as shopping, commuting, or short errands
• Supplementary locking in combination with a heavier lock for higher-risk locations
• Indoor storage in garages, basements, or shared bike rooms

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1800 mm
• Weight: 300 g
• Lock type: key-operated cylinder
• Number of keys supplied: 2
• Color: black
• Design: flexible braided cable with protective coating

How to use

Thread the cable through the bicycle frame and at least one wheel, then loop it around a solid, immovable object. Insert the cable end into the lock cylinder and turn the key to secure. Keep one key with you and store the spare key in a safe place. For unlocking, insert the key and rotate to release the cable. Regularly check the cable coating and locking mechanism for wear or damage and replace the lock if compromised.

Recommendations

Use this cable lock for short stops or as a secondary lock together with a heavier U-lock or chain in higher-risk areas. When parking in public, attach the cable to a fixed, well-lit structure and avoid leaving the bike unattended for extended periods. Store the spare key separately from the primary key to prevent both being lost at once.
