Gedore 2797119 hex key

The Gedore 2797119 hex key is a compact, high-quality Allen key made from Gedore vanadium steel (59CrV4) with a zinc-plated finish. It features a double ball end and a short angled side, designed to provide access in confined spaces and to allow work around protrusions while remaining lightweight at 18 g.

Advantages

The double ball ends permit use at an angle and enable rapid progress where straight hex keys cannot reach. The short angled side and low profile improve accessibility in tight areas and on flat surfaces. Zinc plating increases corrosion resistance while the vanadium steel construction provides durability and strength. The design also reduces the risk of finger injury when working close to flat surfaces.

How to use

Select the correct size hex key for the fastener, insert either the straight or ball end into the screw head, and apply torque. For limited access, use the ball end at an angle to engage the socket. Use the short angled side when a low profile is required. Ensure full engagement with the hex socket before applying force to avoid rounding the fastener.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment when required and avoid excessive torque beyond the fastener or tool specification. Store in a dry place to preserve the zinc finish and check the key for wear before use.
