Hama 00200338 cable adapter DVI-D HDMI black

The Hama 00200338 cable gender changer converts a DVI-D connection to an HDMI port, enabling transmission of digital video signals from a PC or notebook equipped with DVI-D to a monitor, TV or projector. It supports DVI-D Dual Link (24 + 1 pins) for high-quality digital video and comes in a durable black finish.

Advantages

This adapter provides a straightforward, passive conversion from DVI-D to HDMI without the need for external power. Its DVI-D Dual Link connector maintains digital video integrity for compatible devices, while the compact black design fits typical AV setups and cable runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC or notebook with DVI-D output to an HDMI monitor
• Connecting a DVI-D source to an HDMI-equipped TV
• Feeding a projector that accepts HDMI from a DVI-D video card

How to use

Insert the DVI-D connector into the DVI-D output of the computer or notebook and plug the HDMI connector into the HDMI input of the display device. Ensure both devices are powered off when connecting to avoid hot-plug issues, then power them on and select the appropriate input on the display. Configure the display settings on the source device if necessary.

Recommendations

Use this gender changer only for digital DVI-D signals (24+1). It will not carry analog DVI-A signals. For audio transmission, use a separate audio connection because DVI-D does not carry audio over HDMI without a converter that supports audio embedding.
