Helos CAT5e SF/UTP 2m Network Cable

The Helos CAT5e SF/UTP 2m networking cable is a 2-metre Cat5e cable with SF/UTP (S-FTP) shielding and RJ-45 connectors at both ends. Designed for reliable copper-based Ethernet connections, this grey cable supports standard Cat5e performance for data transmission while the braided and foil shielding reduces electromagnetic interference in environments with nearby electrical equipment or multiple cable runs.

Advantages

The SF/UTP (S-FTP) shielding provides improved protection against external noise compared with unshielded cables, helping to maintain signal integrity over short runs. With factory-fitted RJ-45 plugs on both ends, the cable is ready for immediate use and compatible with common networking devices. Its 2 m length offers flexibility for patching between wall outlets, switches and desktop equipment in home and office setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops or network printers to a switch or wall outlet
• Short patch connections in office racks and network cabinets
• Home network setups where reduced interference is needed
• Environments with multiple cable bundles or nearby power lines

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Shielding: SF/UTP (S-FTP) — braided shield plus foil around individual pairs
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Grey
• Usage: Ethernet copper patch cable for up to Cat5e performance

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your computer, switch, router or wall-mounted outlet and the other connector into the corresponding device port. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted until the clip engages. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinch points; maintain gentle curves and avoid tension to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For installations in racks or cabinets, secure the cable with cable ties or organizers to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m Helos CAT5e SF/UTP cable for short-distance Ethernet links where shielding against electromagnetic interference is beneficial. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines for extended distances. For permanent in-wall installations or where higher bandwidth is required, consider using a higher-category or purpose-specific cable.
