Hypertec 270200-HY Network Wall Socket Cat5e Stainless Steel

The Hypertec 270200-HY network junction box is a stainless steel enclosure designed for terminating and protecting Cat5e U/UTP cable connections. Built to organize and secure network terminations, the junction box accommodates standard Cat5e wiring practices and provides a robust metal housing suitable for indoor and controlled-environment installations. Supplied as a single unit per pack, it is intended for small installs, repairs, or expansion points within structured cabling systems.

Advantages

The stainless steel construction offers corrosion resistance and mechanical protection for cable terminations, helping to maintain reliable signal performance over time. The enclosure simplifies neat cable management and reduces exposure of connectors and splices to accidental damage. Its compatibility with Cat5e U/UTP cables ensures it supports common 100BASE-TX and similar Ethernet deployments where Cat5e is specified.

Key specifications

How to use

Mount the junction box in a suitable location that provides access for cable routing and maintenance. Prepare Cat5e U/UTP cables following standard termination procedures, route the cables into the enclosure through available entry points, and terminate or join the conductors on appropriate connectors or terminal blocks inside the box. Secure the cover and fasten the enclosure to the mounting surface to protect connections from mechanical stress and incidental contact.

Recommendations

Use in environments where stainless steel protection is beneficial; avoid exposure to direct outdoor weather unless additional sealing or environmental protection is applied. Verify compatibility with the specific Cat5e connectors or patch panels in your installation, and follow local cabling standards and grounding practices when working with shielded or unshielded installations.
