InLine PS/2 Cable, Plug/Plug, Grey with Green Plug, 2 m

The InLine PS/2 Cable male / male grey with green plug 2m is a 2-metre PS/2 connection cable designed to link input devices with standard PS/2 ports. It has a grey (beige-leaning) jacket and distinctive green-plug signalling for easy identification of the connected device. The cable supports data transmission between PS/2 keyboards or mice and compatible computer ports and is built for regular use in home and office environments.

Advantages

The cable provides a stable wired connection without the need for adapters or converters, ensuring low-latency communication for PS/2 keyboards and mice. Its 2 m length gives flexibility in device placement while remaining manageable on a desk or behind a workstation. Colour-coded plug simplifies identification when multiple PS/2 cables are present. The construction is intended for routine durability and continuous use in typical desktop setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting PS/2 keyboards to desktop PCs or legacy systems
• Connecting PS/2 mice to compatible computer ports
• Replacing worn or damaged PS/2 cables on peripherals
• Use in office workstations, home PCs, and computer repair/maintenance

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector type: PS/2 male to PS/2 male
• Exterior colour: grey / beige
• Plug colour marking: green
• Application: wired connection for PS/2 keyboards and mice

How to use

Connect one PS/2 male plug to the PS/2 port on the computer and the other plug to the matching PS/2 connector on the keyboard or mouse. Ensure the plug orientation matches the port alignment and push gently until it seats. For systems with both keyboard and mouse PS/2 ports, use the appropriately colour-coded port if available. Power down the computer before connecting or disconnecting PS/2 devices on systems that do not support hot-plugging.

Recommendations

Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension along the cable to preserve connector integrity. Store the cable coiled loosely when not in use and keep contacts free from dust and moisture. If the system does not support hot-plugging, connect the cable before powering the computer to prevent detection issues.
