Inter-Tech 88885306 Internal Power Cable 0.15 m

The Inter-Tech 88885306 internal power cable is a compact 0.15 m adapter cable designed to convert a Molex 4-pin power output into a SATA 15-pin power input. With a lightweight design of approximately 10 g and a multicolour finish, this cable provides a short, tidy connection for powering SATA drives and other devices inside desktop PC cases where space is limited.

Advantages

This internal power cable offers a short, low-profile connection that reduces cable clutter and improves airflow within the case. The Molex 4-pin to SATA 15-pin conversion enables legacy power supplies or peripheral connectors to feed modern SATA devices without additional adapters. Its compact length makes it suitable for tight installations while the lightweight construction minimises mechanical strain on connectors.

Suitable for

• Powering SATA hard drives and SSDs from a Molex 4-pin output
• Small form factor or compact PC builds with limited cable space
• Temporary or permanent internal cable routing in desktop cases
• Upgrading older power supplies to support SATA devices

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.15 m
• Connector 1: Molex 4-pin
• Connector 2: SATA 15-pin
• Weight: 0.01 kg
• Product colour: Multicolour

How to use

Turn off and unplug the computer before installing the cable. Locate an available Molex 4-pin power connector from the power supply and firmly attach the Molex end of the cable. Route the cable carefully to the target drive bay and connect the SATA 15-pin end to the SATA power inlet on the drive. Ensure connectors are fully seated and avoid sharp bends or pinching points. After securing the drive and checking connections, reconnect power and power on the system to confirm the device receives power.

Recommendations

Use this cable inside a powered-down system only. Avoid applying excessive force when connecting or disconnecting the Molex and SATA plugs. For stable long-term operation, ensure the power supply can provide adequate current for connected devices and keep cable routing clear of fans and moving parts to prevent wear.
