Keystone Jack CAT8 Shielded Tool-Free ACT TD8511

The ACT Keystone Jack CAT8 TD8511 is a shielded, toolless keystone/modular jack designed for installing permanent cabling in wall outlets or patch panels. It supports CAT8 cabling standards and provides RJ45 connectivity with press-fit style contacts for reliable high-speed network links. The connector comes in a silver finish and includes colour-coded labels for both T568A and T568B wiring schemes to simplify termination.

Advantages

The TD8511 offers a toolless installation method that reduces installation time and the need for specialised tools. Its shielded design helps maintain signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic interference. Colour-coded wiring labels support both T568A and T568B standards, and the press-fit contacts provide consistent connections suitable for high-speed applications compatible with CAT8 specifications.

How to use

Prepare the CAT8 cable by stripping the outer jacket and untwisting pairs as required by the colour-coded label. Align conductors to the indicated T568A or T568B pattern, insert each conductor into the corresponding slot, and engage the press-fit mechanism to secure connections. Snap the keystone jack into a compatible wall outlet or patch panel module. Ensure the shield is properly terminated to the outlet or panel ground to maintain overall shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For reliable CAT8 performance, use compatible shielded patch panels and maintain correct grounding of the connector shield. Test each terminated link with appropriate network certification tools to verify performance up to CAT8/40 Gbps standards.
