KVM Switch Inter-Tech IPC AS-41HUS 4 Ports USB

The Inter-Tech IPC AS-41HUS 4 ports USB KVM switch lets a single keyboard, mouse and monitor control up to four computers. The device uses standard USB connections for peripheral sharing and supports plug-and-play operation with common operating systems. With a compact housing and straightforward switching controls, it simplifies multi-system management on a desk or in a small server workstation.

Advantages

The KVM switch reduces clutter by consolidating input devices and display to one set of peripherals, enabling faster context switching between systems without reconnecting cables. USB connectivity ensures broad compatibility with keyboards and mice, while the design focuses on stable signal handling and simple user interaction. The unit supports clear monitor output and reliable device recognition for typical office, home lab, or light server use.

Suitable for

• Small offices managing multiple desktops or workstations
• Home labs and developers who run several systems simultaneously
• Control stations where quick switching between PCs is required
• Environments that need space-saving peripheral consolidation

Key specifications

• Number of computer ports: 4
• Peripheral interface: USB for keyboard and mouse
• Monitor connection: single console support (VGA/DVI/HDMI depending on model cables and setup)
• Switching method: manual or keyboard hotkey switching (model dependent)
• Power: bus-powered or external adapter depending on configuration
• Compatibility: supports common operating systems with standard USB HID drivers

How to use

Connect one set of keyboard, mouse and monitor to the console ports of the KVM switch. Attach each computer to the switch using the provided USB and video cables, ensuring video connectors match the monitor input or use appropriate adapters. Power the unit if an external adapter is required. Use the front panel buttons or keyboard hotkeys to switch control between connected computers; the switch automatically recognizes USB human interface devices when a system becomes active.

Recommendations

For best results, use USB keyboards and mice that conform to standard HID profiles and ensure video cable types match the monitor to avoid additional adapters. Place the KVM switch within easy reach to operate manual controls, and verify operating system USB driver support for seamless hotkey and peripheral recognition.
