Inter-Tech AS-9104DA KVM Switch

The Inter-Tech AS-9104DA KVM switch enables centralized control of multiple computers from a single keyboard, mouse and monitor. Designed for rack mounting, the unit provides DVI-I video output with support for up to 1920 x 1080 pixels, USB keyboard and mouse connectivity and a robust steel housing in black. With a scan interval of 1.255 seconds and a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 120,000 hours, the device is intended for continuous professional operation. The switch accepts a DC input of 9–12 V and is built to handle many systems while occupying minimal rack space.

Advantages

The AS-9104DA consolidates peripheral management to a single console, reducing the need for multiple keyboards, mice and monitors. Its steel construction provides mechanical durability for rack environments, and the supported DVI-I output ensures compatibility with digital and analog displays that accept this interface. USB ports for keyboard and mouse allow straightforward connection of standard input devices. A long MTBF and modest scan interval contribute to reliable, uninterrupted access to connected systems.

Suitable for

• Data center server management where multiple machines require centralized access
• IT maintenance workstations and network operation centers
• Laboratories or test benches that need frequent switching between systems
• Small to medium rack installations in offices or server rooms

Connect a monitor to the DVI-I video output and attach a USB keyboard and USB mouse to the designated front or rear USB ports. Use the switch’s controls or navigation method to select and switch among connected computers; the device will scan connected systems at its configured interval. Ensure all connected computers have compatible video and USB peripheral support for seamless operation.

Recommendations

Place the KVM in a ventilated rack location and secure power and signal cabling to avoid accidental disconnection. Use DVI-I-compatible cables and, where necessary, appropriate adapters for digital or analog displays. For critical environments, combine the device’s long MTBF with routine maintenance checks of cable connections and power supply to ensure continuous accessibility to connected systems.
