LOGON RAB120BL Blanking Panel Black 5U Rack Accessory

The LOGON RAB120BL Black 5U Rack accessory is a blank panel designed to occupy unused space in standard 19-inch server racks. With a 5U height and a black finish, the panel measures 482 mm in width and 15 mm in depth. It provides a neat front appearance for cabinets and racks while helping to manage internal airflow and prevent dust ingress in areas without mounted equipment.

Advantages

This blank panel offers a uniform visual appearance for rack fronts, reducing gaps that can disrupt airflow patterns. Its slim depth allows mounting in confined rack layouts without encroaching on rear equipment clearance. The durable finish resists scratches and simplifies cleaning, while the lightweight construction makes installation and repositioning straightforward.

Suitable for

• Data center and server room racks where unused rack units need to be covered
• Telecommunications cabinets and networking closets to maintain organized fronts
• Audio/video equipment racks in studios or control rooms to improve appearance
• Any 19-inch standard rack requiring improved airflow management and dust reduction

Key specifications

• Form factor: 5U blank panel for 19-inch racks
• Finish: black
• External width: 482 mm
• Depth: 15 mm
• Material: rigid metal sheet with protective coating

How to use

Position the panel over the unused rack unit space at the front of the cabinet and align the mounting holes with the rack’s vertical rails. Secure the panel using standard rack screws and cage nuts or the mounting hardware appropriate for your rack profile. Verify that the panel sits flush with adjacent mounted equipment and does not obstruct cable routes or ventilation openings. For removal, unscrew the fasteners and slide the panel out to create space for new equipment.

Recommendations

Install blank panels in a pattern that supports intended airflow paths; place them above and below active equipment as needed to limit bypass airflow. For best results, pair with cable management and blanking panels in other unit sizes to maintain a tidy and efficient rack layout.
