Lindy 10m USB 3.0 Active Cable Slim

The Lindy USB 3.0 Active Cable extends a USB 3.0 connection by 10 m while maintaining data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps. Featuring a USB A male to USB B male connection, the cable enables direct longer-distance connections of Type B devices such as printers and allows more flexible device placement. The slim cable mould houses the active electronics, reducing bulk compared with other active USB leads.

Advantages

Built-in active electronics preserve signal integrity over the extended 10 m length. Plug-and-play compatibility with computers that have a USB Type A port ensures quick installation without drivers. The compact design of the active housing simplifies routing and positioning compared with bulky active connectors. Recommended for low-power or self-powered USB peripherals to avoid power limitations.

Key specifications

• Interface: USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1 / USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible)
• Connectors: USB A male to USB B male
• Extension length: 10 m
• Maximum data rate: up to 5 Gbps
• Compatibility: USB Type A host computers

How to use

Connect the USB A male plug to the computer's USB Type A port and the USB B male plug to the Type B device such as a printer. The cable is plug-and-play, so no driver installation is required. For reliable operation, use the extender with low-power or self-powered peripherals or ensure the connected device has its own power supply.

Recommendations

Do not use the cable to power high-consumption USB devices unless those devices have an external power source. For maximum throughput, ensure connected devices and host ports support USB 3.0/USB 3.1 Gen 1/USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds.
